Very nice and quiet (end of June) place, lot of green. Beautiful surroundings. The room (not in a main building) was clean and well air-conditioned. Breakfest at the terrace (main building) with the beautiful view. Nice beaches nearby, easy to reach by car or boat (possible to rent right in a place: €140 per day plus fuel).
My own impression wasn´t compatible with 4 stars, thanks to the willingness and abilities of the reception´s staff and overall look of buildings and equipment. The room (standard room quadruple, and not in main building) has no balcony or terrace (I supposed that it could be standard at the seaside hotel), there are only two chairs and the most mini TV I´ve seen. Very small and full of people sandy beach (but many of good places on the rocks nad stones to suntanning or relaxing). The pool was full of mechanical dirt on the bottom and sides, far from luminous look and clear feel. (Plus or minus?) For those who have small children: wild pigs in the garden in front of the building possible to see every evening.
The location is terrific. The breakfast was adequate (would rate it as standard 3* star).
We staid in the hotel one night with our 5-year old daughter on October 1st. We prepaid our room due to a better rate offered. We mentioned this upon our check-in. Never mind, the hotel receptionist charged our credit card again after the check-out (without saying a word). When we figured this out from the account statement, I emailed the hotel management. No one responded within a week. I then tried to call their contact number from overseas; they seemed very annoyed to talk to me and didn’t even want to admit their obvious fault. They however promised to look into the transaction. No one ever responded after that and until now we were not refunded the money charged in mistake (I hope). I will file a claim with my bank and Booked.net to recover the money, but wanted to warn others. The facility itself - We were originally put into a room (possibly #419), which might have qualified for filming the Adam’s Family, but certainly not for a 4* hotel. The kind of Universal Studios impression was underlined in the hall way on our way to rather cute old-fashion lifts, when we passed around a huge exhibition of outdated shoes for sale. We asked for another room and were transferred to a considerably cleaner one, which was better furnished/equipped on the 2nd floor (possibly #314).
the only good thing about this hotel is its jaw dropping location, has to be seen to be believed .
The staff , the Manager, the dirt of the swimming pool. the food was without doubt the worse I have ever had in Europe. poor Wi Fi limited reception. As base it might be ok to tour this beautiful coastline but do not stay in this hotel if you expect anything remotely like 4 star more like 1 star circa 1970 eastern Europe.
The hotel is nicely located, overlooking a nice small bay with crystal clear water, the yacht-style decorated and furnished room was spacy enough and clean, bathroom decent
The outside pool area is far bellow 4* standard, the pool was quite dirty, some green sediments at the bottom and at the walls, quite discouraging you to get into the water. And worst of all - no umbrellas at the place what they call beach and what is in fact just some concrete spilled over rocks with a pair of stepladders as the only access to the sea. No shower there, no beach/pool towels available, those just to be RENTED at the reception. Really bad for those who came to relax at the pool or on beach.
Incredible location - simply go and stay there just for the view from the hotel! Amazing diving/snorkelling and fab beaches. Ideal for a relaxing holiday in a truly incredible location by the sea and surrounded by views you will never forget!
Hotel food not 4 star and the location is very isolated so you do need to hire a car. Hotel did not provide any advice/information about the area and things to do so do look at the web before you go for guides about the local area.
The view from the breakfast terrace. One of the safe guard very friendly (the other more interested in girls), quiet place, ok food. Head of staff at the reception very service minded.
The plastic cups at the breakfast, hardly no public communication to Alghero - and it costed 40 Euro one way with taxi to Alghero - the head of staff at the dinner not very friendly, at the beach you couldn´t rent a sunbed, just one Booked.net (with one seat).
Great location, easy parking, good beach, pool and other related facilities. Food good for a large hotel.
We were in a room that appeared to be in a less used wing and was a little dusty. The hotel (room & public rooms) is a little tired and in need of a refresh.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was very comfortable and the linens and towels were spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fabulous, a little bit of heaven, we will definately go back. The only criticism I would have is that its an awful pity they dont maintain the hotel and grounds a bit better. The hotel could do with a lick of paint and the gardens are overgrown. This is an awful pity as the location is magnificent. Not suitable, in my opinion, for young children but definately an excellent choice for couples looking to get away from it all.
This hotel is abandoned and fast becoming derelict.
Excellent location, friendly staff.
A Hotel need a renovation. At this moment hardly fulfil conditions for 4* hotel.
Magnificent views, great quality for the price paid. Friendly staff. Calm and relaxing.
Nothing negative really, just be warned that the closest town (Alghero) is about a 20 minute drive away, so car rental to get around is a must.
This is a hotel in need of a new owner to take it into the 21st century. Expect heavy keys on big keyrings, no lifts and lots of stairs. Our room was in a annex away from the main hotel. It had 3 camp beds that were very uncomfortable. It had no view. This hotel shuold not have a 4 star rating. It is 2 star charging 4 star prices. My suggestion to other travellers, stay somewhere else. Try out a local agriturismo if you only need a bed for one night and are leaving for the airport next day.
Location, location, location.
Poorness of service and facilities.
Nothing but the sea and nature.
Everything. The hotel is four stars but there are not even three...
Room size, scenic views, swimming pool, access to the sea! Simply beautiful.
Quite far from Alghero (30 minutes drive), no wifi, wide selection for breakfast, of poor quality, warm water faded somehow
